Item Participatory Research Caribbean Network(1983-03-06) Ellis, PatTo promote the use of Participatory Research as an approach to research which involves the "researched", as well as the researcher in the research process. 2. To stimulate debate and discussion on the theoretical, conceptual and moral issues related to the use of Participatory Research. 3. To provide opportunities for persons involved in Participatory Research activities to meet, exchange ideas and information and discuss their work in Participatory Research and to evaluate and conceptualize the results of this work. 4. To promote the use of Participatory Research in major development programmes and institutions in the the region, and to formulate research methodologies relevant to the Caribbean context and reality. 5. To encourage those engaged in Participatory Research to document their work, and to facilitate the documentation and dissemination of this material within the region and to the international Network.
