Through case studies in selected Indian villages, it explores how PRA can capture community perceptions on poverty and well-being, generate well-being indicators, and engage local populations in designing and implementing development programs. The limitations and challenges of PRA, such as cultural barriers, rapidity concerns, and issues with visual methods, are discussed alongside the need for institutional support and community empowerment.
