The organization is registered with the Department of Social Welfare under the Society Registration Act 1961, and it operates with a commitment to bring about social change through active participation of the disadvantaged communities. Its mission is to eradicate exploitation, injustice, and oppression, and to work toward equality, justice, and peace.
dc.description.abstractMAUCHAK is a non-profit, non-government, voluntary organization involved in the development of Rural Bangladesh. MAUCHAK is a Bengali word means Bee-hive attributer to the strong unity and collective work and living together of the working class people like bees in the hive. The word MAUCHAK is the acronym derived from the basic name of the organization MAULIK CHAHIDA KARMASHUCHI Meaning Basic Needs Programme. One can easily understand the goal, objective and ideology of the organization from it's very name.
