The chapter acknowledges the intellectual contributions of Julius Nyerere, Paulo Freire, Marja-Liisa Swantz, Orlando Fals Borda, and Rajesh Tandon. Through personal reflections, the author examines the ideological and methodological underpinnings of PAR, emphasizing its commitment to empowering marginalized communities through social investigation, education, and action.
